Message | Well if you would like to put Baltusia into a deficit, by all means try to pass this legislation. The luxury tax is relatively high so that income tax can stay relatively low. It is a far better method of redistributing wealth to tax money that isnt spent on the essentials and/or raw materials of industry than to tax income. Internationally, Baltusia's corporate tax rates are about on par with the average (and certainly much lower than the 100% rates in Dundorf, New Endralon and Deltaria). Additionally, corporate taxes only tax profit, which by definition, is not being reinvested in the company nor is it being used to pay workers. As such, it is again a more efficient method of redistributing wealth. |

Random fact: Don't put "the" as the first word in your party name, because when parties are referred to in news reports, their names are preceded with "the", e.g. the [Socialist Party] has lost. |
