Message | We abstain, simply because we believe there should be no trade unions in Selucia. The democratisation of those unions is irrelevant. |

Message | I like the current law, but would be willing to consider changing it. My concern is this rule goes both ways. A well organized group who don't want a strike could intimidate workers from voting, thereby making a strike impossible. On the other hand, if someone votes against a strike under the current system, and the vote is poorly advertised, I guarantee you that the workers will cross the picket line, thereby embarassing the union leadership. That's why I kind of like the current law better than the proposed one. |

Message | That's a very good point, SSP, one I hadn't thought of. It would be nice to check both potential problems, but I don't see how to do that. Does anyone have suggestions of how to solve both problems, which law solves its respective problem better, or which problem is more important to solve? |

Random fact: Moderation will not accept Cultural Protocol updates which introduce, on a significant scale, cultures which are likely to be insufficiently accessible to players. In particular, for all significant cultures in Particracy, it should be easy for players to access and use online resources to assist with language translation and the generation of character names. Moderation reserves the right to amend Cultural Protocols which are deemed to have introduced significant cultures that are not sufficiently accessible and which are not being actively role-played with. |
