Message | The PNCA would like to make clear the reason behind its opposition to this bill. We do not oppose Articles 1 or 2. We would prefer fishing quotas to be determined at the local level, but Article 3 is not a dealbreaker. Our main reason for opposing this bill lies in the unnecessary regulations that would be imposed by Articles 4 and 5. The PNCA feels that our nation's farmers should not be regulated in that manner. |

Message | Localised fishing quotas would be difficult to enforce due to the lack of efficient boundaries between the Duchies at sea. Article 4 could be reduced to merely regulating chemicals. Article 5 is difficult to compromise on. |

Message | Would you accept dropping Article 5, leaving Article 3 as is, and a compromise on Article 4? |

Message | The PRP would like to re-open a discussion on genetically modified foods. Our advisory council has brought Leviticus 19:19 to our attention. "You shall observe My statutes: You shall not crossbreed your livestock with different species. You shall not sow your field with a mixture of seeds, and a garment which has a mixture of shaatnez shall not come upon you." We feel that this could easily be interpreted as forbidding genetically modified foods. The Church of Pontesi has yet to issue a definitive ruling but it is said that there are many within the Church who support this interpretation. |

Random fact: Voters have an extra appreciation for bills that actually get passed, so if you want to maximally take profit from your votes, make sure you compromise with others. |
