Message | Rt Hon Duke Liam Quinlan, Hutorian Conservatives Leader, Mr Speaker, the state should not be owning or regulating any aspect of the Hutorian power grid. The fact that we currently own powerstations alongside private powerstations is silly. All this does is drive the prices of energy up and decreases competition within the energy markets. I am sure the people of Hutori do not want to pay high prices for their energy bills and with this reform we can deliver to the people of Hutori, a worthwile reform that will make their lives easier by alleviating the pressure of household bills. The Hutorian economy is safer in the hands of the markets than any state-sponsored socialist economy. I am sure the Labour Party will disagree with this policy, but we urge them to realise their socialist economic policy is doomed to failure and to vote in favour of reform - and a capitalist, conservative party reform at that! |
