MessageThe death penalty is an inhumane throwback to a less civilised age but more importantly it is filled with errors. Legal mistakes cannot be undone and it is not a deterrant. Numerous studies have shown that the real deterrant is not the sentence or punishment but the likelyhood of being caught.
