Message | How is it oppression? Article 1 allows parents to send their children to a religious school if they want daily prayers conducted by a teacher, nowhere does that say a student couldn't pray by him or herself. Article 2 makes sure that every "missionary" is actually coming here for that purpose, as opposed to selling drugs, radicalizing our children, or seeking a hiding place after committing a crime. Article 3 will protect against any radicalization, indoctrination, sexual abuse, or any other crime related to or often committed by clergy while still giving parents the option to send their children to a religious school. This bill attacks no particular group and still allows religious behavior, if anything it protects the irreligious by allowing them to know their children won't be forced to pray at school, or stick out like a sore thumb to be persecuted at recess after a teacher led prayer as long as their child isn't at a religious school. |

Message | Yes, that is all great to know, but religious regulation does not equate to religious freedom. Teachers should be permitted to lead prayers if they so choose, and in the case of missionaries, the government has a fundamental responsibility to arrest lawbreakers. Supposed missionaries participating in the actions listed above, should be prepared to suffer the consequences of their actions. |
