Details

Submitted by[?]: We Say So! Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 2143

Description[?]:

In order to reduce the risk of STD infection rates throughout the Republic of Hobrazia, and so consequently reducing Government expenditure on this area of National Health, whilst also accepting that individuals are responsible for their own health and well being, the Government will subsidise the cost of contraception to guarantee that the cost of such methods (i.e. condoms) are at a level so as to encourage their use.
Subsidised contraception will be available in all public house and nightclub toilets, as well as being available freely at pharmacies and other stores that stock aforementioned contraceptives.
This bill will be supported by health advertisements in order to explain the dangers of STD and other such infections and to encourage the use of these contraceptive methods.

MessageIn order to reach a compromise agreement. The cost of contraceptives will be subsidised to encourage their use, whilst also guaranteeing that at least some responsibility is left to those who use them.

MessageThat private television bill was really an attempt to comprmise. My thinking was keep radio under some government ownership and television would be private. I new I couldn't get both. I compromise enough, my cabinet proposal included most parties, I voted yes on your cabinet even though I only got one post despite my seat total. So I am not quite a megalomaniac yet..

MessageYou assume I am against public health because I voted no on Government Subsidation bill. You call me a liar when I propose bills, claim my bills are stupid, accuse me of fear mongering, among other things. Stop complaining and blaming the other parties (only free market parties of course, as it is ok for the left to bash the opposistion, but when capitalist parties say anything to leftist the lefties respond with the typical response that capitalsit are just brainless, and heartless) I disagree with the idea of a mommy and daddy government tending to their children and dictating what is best for them. Enough of this "holier than thou" attitude that been on display whenever you don't get your way.

MessageI do complain when the "left" produce bad bills, just because you don't notice doesn't mean it doesn't happen. I would also point out that at no point have I called you "brainless".
We don't have a problem with you holding different positions, what we have a problem with is making up facts in bill descriptors that aren't true, that's it. Stop getting in a tizzy over it, or better yet, stop making things up. I would also ask, within the confines of the game, who else should we "blame" except other Parties from passing laws that go against our principles? We're not going to blame ourselves for voting for or against are we.
