Message | Can the Right Honourable Gentleman please explain how the less well off Hutorian's are expected to afford public transport? Local Government initiatives have provided subsidies to those who would otherwise not be able to afford public transport. Can the Right Honourable Gentleman also explain what initiatives will be put in place to prevent congestion as a result of more cars on our roads? And those who are environmentally conscious are particularly concerned about the increase in pollution. Mr Speaker, this seems to be an ill thought out piece of legislation, without the wider consideration of the wider impact of taking away Local Government control over Public Transport policies. |

Message | Rt Hon Duke Quinlan MP, Hutorian Prime Minister, Mr Speaker, to answer the oppositions questions. Firstly the peoples local taxes that fund public transport will be cut - thus allowing them to afford public transport. There will be no additional incentives to prevent congestion as we put peoples self-thought responsibility before bureacratic nonsense. The HCP is not worried about pollution in the slightest, so the member opposite can keep that for future reference. The real question here however is why do the Liberal Party support big government, higher taxation and bureacracy? |

Message | RT Hon George Norton, Liberal Democratic Party Leader, Mr Speaker, can the Prime Minister explain how he will enforce a tax cut on local authorities, who are in control of their own local taxation? Also, can the Prime Minister ensure that the companies operating these services will not hike their prices to levels completely unaffordable to people of limited means? The Prime Minister must realise that increased congestion in our cities is completely undesirable, and may have unforeseen economic impacts through employees being late because of traffic jams. To answer the Prime Minister's question, it may be an idea for him to read our Party Manifesto, it might be an interesting read, and who knows, he may learn something? |

Message | Rt Hon Duke Quinlan MP, Hutorian Prime Minister, Mr Speaker, that is simple. How can i enforce a tax cut on local authorities? Well any HCP controlled local authority - which is the vast majority barring a few independant authorities - will recieve an order from the HCP central office to enforce this tax cut. On the second issue Mr Speaker, the issue of price. It amazes me how these Liberal Democrats need an explaination for everything when if they just put their mind to it.....anyway i will elaborate for them. Mr Speaker, currently there are four companies operating these services. The market competition will drive down prices of the transport system and these savings will be passed on to the Hutorian people. Mr Speaker, if the Liberal Democrats are so worried about traffic congestion why do they not simply introduce a proposal that would resolve the issue instead of complaining about it? |
