Bill: Protect Our Children
Details
Submitted by[?]: Social Democratic Legend Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 3130
Description[?]:
How can we possibly allow children to manner in such a manner in this day and age? It is unethical and amoral! It is pure biology that they physically cannot handle strenuous labour! No amount of regulations will be enough to make it so that children can handle this. It's not only that. Children should be in school receiving an education to help them get better careers when they're old enough. This is just a way for businesses to make more money but the SDLP will not stand by and allow such horrendous exploitation! |

Proposal[?] to change The government's policy concerning child labour.
Old value:: Child labour is allowed, but with additional regulations to those of adult labourers.

Message | Are my colleagues opposed to teenagers gaining summer employment? Being paid to mow a neighbor's yard? This bill is misguided and extreme. |

Message | That is not what this means. A summer job is not labour and this bill would not be worded in such a way if it was. We all know what child labour is and we all know that it is wrong! |
Date | 05:17:38, June 01, 2011 CET | From | Progressive Conservative Party | To | Debating the Protect Our Children |
Message | Frankly we agree with the Commonwealth Party on this issue. We understand that there should be limitations but labour indicates work and a summer job is work. You are being way too extreme on this issue. |
