Old value:: All adults upon completion of schooling must serve a term in the military, but can shorten their term/forego it completely by paying a certain amount of money.
Current: All adults upon completion of schooling must serve either a term in the military or a lesser paid term of civilian national service, at their option.
Proposed: All adults upon completion of schooling can be required in times of war to serve a term in the military.

It is absolutely disgusting that one might buy one's way from military service, whilst the poorest are forced to join up. We propose changing this legislation and bringing Hutori into the 32nd century. |
