Bill: New Bill
Details
Submitted by[?]: Vereinigt Dorvik
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 3133
Description[?]:
Mr. Speaker, Vereinigt Dorvik does not believe that people should be regulated in how they enjoy themselves recreationally. We currently do not support the use of chemical based drugs however, as many of them have unwanted side effects on not only the person who uses them, but for the people around them and the community. We are not saying that they should all be illegal, but we find the policy below a middle ground for allowing our citizens to decide for themselves without being at risk of developing a chemical dependancy and harming others. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The recreational drug policy.
Old value:: Recreational drug use is forbidden.
Current: The use of cannabis is legal.
Proposed: All naturally occurring drugs are legal.

Message | Mr. Speaker, We are embarressed to find that one of our administrative staff have not edited the title of this bill so that it accurately fits the description of what we hope to achieve. We therefore would like to table a motion with regards to this vote that it be considered the 'Recreational Drugs Proposal of 3132'. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, Absolutely not! There are times, when the needs of the many outweights the needs of the few or the one. People can say that they are using drugs solely as recreational, but when comes the time when recreation becomes the way of life and one needs another recreational dosage to get up in the morning, it is something that is not good for the economy. |
Date | 12:12:30, June 08, 2011 CET | From | Volkspartei | To | Debating the New Bill |
Message | Mr Speaker, The Volkspartei could support this bill if the only drug made legal was cannabis - a drug which, many tests have shown, can in most cases be no more addictive than coffee and have minimal side effects just like alcohol. However, all drugs? No. We join our cabinet colleagues in declaring this madness. |

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, special care must be taken to ensure realism is maintained when role-playing a government controlled by an ethnic and/or religious minority. If it is to be supposed that this government is supported by a majority of the population, then this should be plausibly and sufficiently role-played. The burden of proof is on the player or players role-playing such a regime to demonstrate that it is being done realistically |
