Message | Rt Hon Viscount Townsend MP, Leader of the Oppositon, Mr Speaker, i believe that there should be conscription - but only when Hutori is at war. Is it unreasonable that if the nation needs to be defended we can draw on our young people to defend this land? I dont think so. Maybe some who would wish to see our nation defeated in a conflict would. Mr Speaker, i believe that this Bill would benefit the Hutorian state in times of need and we should introduce it as soon as we can. We never know when potential invaders may strike. |

Message | Mr Speaker, It is unfortunate that the Labour party, after having supported the abolition of conscription just two years ago, has chosen to reverse itself and is now allying itself with the far right wing party. |

Message | Rt Hon Viscount Townsend MP, Leader of the Oppositon, Mr Speaker, we welcome this decision by the Labour Party. This is yet another Bill where HCP and Labour have come together for the benefit of the people of Hutori - much like our reforming of the banks. I am sure there are other areas where we can agree on policies and i am sure the member opposite would agree. |
