MessageMr Speaker,

The current budget of Dorvik is unsustainable. The budget was made during a time when this country had a population well over 300 million. We are now lucky to remain near 100 million. This reflects that change, and I hope with all hope that the Volkskammer will support this budget. It turns deficit into a surplus which will last into the near future. Yes, further cuts will occur in the future as the population continues to go down, but for now, this puts in place a budget which reflects not only our change in population, but our needs.

I as such commend this bill to the Kammer.

MessageMr. Speaker,

Whilst we applaud the initiative of the Volkspartei we are not entirely convinced that they have allocated enough to our Defense. Given that we are not in government however, we will vote for this bill and seek to change this further down the track.

Random fact: Party candidates for head of state elections are not visible to the public. This means that you cannot see who will run and who will not, which adds another strategic element to the elections.
