Voting deadline: October 3135

Description[?]:

The Democratic Party of Dolgava would like to propose changes in the current military doctrine of Dolgava.

First of all, Article 1 solves some current misunderstandings and contradictions in our doctrine.

Older laws are clear: "The nation shall never purchase, produce, or store biological or chemical weaponry, for military purposes. Research and development of the technology is permitted." Therefore, any questions regarding the meaning of this article should be solved.

Article 2: It is time for our national armed forces to step into a completely new era of existence. We should spend a little bit more money to gain maximum out of our defense forces, therefore we propose to abolish conscription and create a completely professional army with soldiers who serve for our country as their primary task.

Experiences from other countries have shown, that maintaining and infrastructure for training and education of conscripts is expensive and at some point we lose all our "investments" - they just withdraw from the armed forces and the whole process has to start over again.

A professional army would solve these problems and our armed forces would be able to present higher level of readiness and skills while being smaller in numbers. A clear gain for our people and the country.

As for the general defenses, we are sure that our policy towards nuclear weapons is one of the best in the region. While we do not intend to use these weapons for offensive reasons, we have a strong deterrent, which clearly discourages our potential adversaries from considering any hostile acts against our nation, its people and sovereign interests.

Thank you.

Random fact: RP laws follow the same passing rules as in-game variable laws. Laws that are not of a constitutional nature require a simple majority "Yes" vote from active parties currently holding seats. Laws that are of a constitutional nature require a 2/3 majority "Yes" vote from active parties currently holding seats. RP laws may be abolished a simple majority vote this applies to ANY RP law.
