Message | Gambling is an issue of revenue and investment and affects localities differently. From the federal level we cannot be the ones to decide whether communities should have legal or illegal gambling. Let us put our faith in their abilities to know which laws regarding gambling suit their needs best. |

Date | 21:00:52, May 06, 2005 CET | From | Benevolent Totalitarian Party - FLF | To | Debating the Gambling Act 2047 |
Message | This will encourage moral decay and an entire host of criminal activities. People who lose money gambling will often commit crimes in order to be able to repay their debt, and/or consume alcohol and drugs to escape from reality. |
Date | 23:53:34, May 06, 2005 CET | From | Democratic Centre Party of Gaduridos | To | Debating the Gambling Act 2047 |
Message | On second thought, the BTP makes a good point about the social and moral costs of allowing gambling. We have changed our mind, and will vote against this bill. |
Date | 23:57:09, May 06, 2005 CET | From | People's Progressive Party | To | Debating the Gambling Act 2047 |
Message | The BTP's point is highly speculative. The fact is localities are the best authorities to decide on the effects to their communities not us sitting here in the capital. It is simply undemocratic to not allow them to decide this issue for themselves. |

Random fact: Particracy allows you to establish an unelected head of state like a monarch or a president-for-life, but doing this is a bit of a process. First elect a candidate with the name "." to the Head of State position. Then change your law on the "Structure of the executive branch" to "The head of state is hereditary and symbolic; the head of government chairs the cabinet" and change the "formal title of the head of state" to how you want the new head of state's title and name to appear (eg. King Percy XVI). |
