Bill: Budget proposal of May 3149

Details

Submitted by[?]: Coalition for National Unity [CNU]

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 3150

Description[?]:

The National Unionist Rally propose to adjust the government's spending budget to better address the economic and social situation of the Federal Republic of Solentia.

"The NUR makes this case in order to begin the process of addressing the budget defecit. We find that an increase in health and education spending, the maintainance of Military spending and the overall decrease in net spending is in the best Solentian interest.

Additionally, an increase in taxation for corporations and on luxery goods will allow for less income tax increases and reckless VAT increases proposed in the last set of budgets by the opposition."

- Oliver Gardiner,
Secretary of State for Finance and Economics

MessageThe halving of the Infrastructure & Transportation budget is likely to devastate the Ministry's operations and will usher in huge cuts and lay-offs. I ask that this titanic slash in spending be reviewed before the budget be pushed into law.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Message"Most of our Transport industry is either under private or local control. The NUR saw no reason to continue pouring money into the Federal budget for something that the States themselves deal with efficiently."
