Message | Mr Speaker, we applaud this Bill. It is nice to see a new slave driven capitalist workforce being created in Hutorian prisons. |

Message | Hon. Ed O'Brien, Leader of the United Leftist Front: Mr. Speaker, I would it to be known that I am not signing on to a, "new slave driven capitalist workforce". I am voting yes for this bill because I believe that the status quo must be changed. And since this body has had the fortunate opportunity to have two different choices set before it at the same time, I believe that taxpayer dollars should not go to the pockets of criminals. Once we fill their pockets, they will demand certain rights that they inherently forfeit for breaking the law. Internment sounds like a good idea, but it is not the best way for prisoners to regret their choices and think about their mistakes. Working and physical labor (that may benefit the government) will bring out the "tough" to measly men, for after exertion they will see why they should never break the law again. This is the best solution, and I vote yes based on the logic above. |
