Message | We believe the impact on the environment will be minimal. The proposed replanting strategy is more realistic given that "replanting above replacement levels" raises the question of where the "extra" trees are going. The logging licensces will raise government funds while also cycling the forest ecosystem and preventing major fires fueled by aged and accumulated underbrush. The change in drinking water standards will save countless government funds that won't need to be wasted on water for industrial and non-consumption uses. |
