Bill: Cabinet Proposal of October 3182

Details

Submitted by[?]: Paleoliberale Partei

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 3183

Description[?]:

In an effort to end the deadlock over the composition of the Cabinet, we, the Paleoliberal Party, propose this Cabinet.
As we are unable to agree, we sadly and regretfully put forward this proposal; disappointed the other parties were too selfish and greedy to agree to our other fair Cabinet proposals, at least as of yet.
We hope that the partisan gridlock over the Cabinet shall end.

MessageIf I need to post our message conversations I will because now you are claiming something that isn't true. You accepted my offer on a united cabinet which would include all parties but since then and now that I've logged in you've proposed three different cabinets going back on your word. Now I've proposed the cabinet we agreed on. If the Paleoliberal Party remains true to their word they should accept it and we can be done with this.

MessageWe only proposed this because at the time we proposed this deal, you did not propose your new deal (yet). End the debate on your new deal though (which we just saw), and we shall vote for it.
We just want the gridlock over the Cabinet to be over. As the largest party, we just want our fair share of Cabinet positions, and all our more reasonable proposals were obstructed.

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there.
