Bill: Liberal Action on Education Choices

Details

Submitted by[?]: Deltarian Liberal Movement

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 3183

Description[?]:

The Liberal Party of Deltaria strongly believes that while National Government may have the best intentions, it may not have the best way of implementing this. Just because we promise a gold-standard education system does not mean that we have the resources, the research or the innovation to reach that bar.

We believe that allowing our regional governments a say on the education of their and our children is a strong step towards finding what is indeed the best educational system through practical classroom experience. By allowing regions to vary their education systems independently from the Deltarian Federal Government or their regional neighbours, each system will develop with one familiar goal: to form the best, well educated citizens of tomorrow.

With this driving them, each area will be prompted to develop and innovate, with the best parts of each system being taken across into their companion systems across the nation - effectively forming the Gold Standard that we are reaching for, but are currently unable to form simply because we have no way of comparatively knowing how good, or bad, we really are. This will show us where we can improve, and where we are letting ourselves down - giving us the tools to bring Education in this nation forward.

Simply, we have a choice. We can choose to continue on this blind path, not knowing if we are good or if we could do better still - claiming that ignorance is bliss. Or we could choose to put ourselves to work, to take action on this pressing issue and set ourselves the challenge to see how good we can truly be.

The Liberal Party of Deltaria has faith in this nation's better character, and the amazing potential it has yet to come. We choose to take action, we choose to put in the hard yard to make an investment in the future. We can only hope we are joined in this initiative.

Message"These policies are a travesty and are equal to social warfare against both the people of Deltaria as well as the Progressive Party. We cannot stand for this legislation to pass and urge all parties vote swiftly against it."

Message"Tell me why, Ms. Kingsley. Indeed, treat this nation like adults for once and give them facts and reason, rather than insight thoughts of battle and conflict amongst ourselves. We provided a strong case for these amendments, and we would like it if you did the same. These policies, while making it harder to assume direct control over people's lives, as is your hallmark, work to find out the best way forward and give our subnational-governments the chance to implement that and continue to develop and evolve in the best of ways. This is a worthwhile change."
