Message | If businesses are going to fail, they should be allowed to fail. You want to wipe out welfare for human beings and give it to companies instead. The only time the government should intervene in this type of market is if the business is providing vital products or services. At that time, the government should take it over, not reward the incompetent idiots who ran such a potentially profitable enterprise into the ground. |

Message | "If businesses are going to fail, they should be allowed to fail" Not when it means the nation will be deprived of a vital service, be it transport, communications, water, electricity, and so on. And not when the industry's collapse so profoundly affects the nation's economy and it's future that a few little subsidies to tide the industries over would be a much less painless option. In any case, lack of economic security drives away potential investors to more competitive nations. This could bring into Kalistan much wealth that it would not otherwise acheive. |

Random fact: Did you know you can change the official name of your nation? All you need to do is draw up a new name that is in accordance with the Nation Renaming Guide, pass a bill proposing the name change with a two-thirds majority and then post a request to Moderation on the "Renaming Requests" thread. You can change city and region names in this way too. |
