MessageOnce again, no. No, no, a thousand times no. In fact, this is even worse. Not only does it attempt to put Jelbania and Deltaria under the inevitable boot heel of a supreme dictator, but in fact more nations! This was a bad idea before, but this, this is just an insult to all that is just and free in this world! No! No more!

Message"We agree with the Progressives. If the world is becoming tyrannical as a basis, then should we lose the one beacon of democracy we have left? If the power goes out and all but one candle is extinguished, should we then extinguish the last one, just to conform? Nay! Nay I say! That last candle becomes even more essential! It becomes even more needed!"

"They say many nations are ruled by one party systems and that Deltaria is an exception to this rule. They say the world would be a better place if Deltaria signs away it's freedom, yet I ask how will this world be a better place if Democracy is signed away in place of the same tyranny they campaign against? If Democracy does not mean freedom, then call me a prisoner! If tyranny is the best of all political systems, then I'd rather die wrong!"

"Though perhaps the eventual dictator maybe a Deltarian, perhaps even one from our own party, I would still not trust him to put the whole world's needs ahead of his home's. It is said that home is where the heart is. If this is the case, then God have mercy on those who are foreigners and strangers to the dictator to be, for he will not show the same compassion or kindness as he would show to his home nation, lest he shows none at all!"

"If this bill should pass, then consider the hope of the world gone. The light of freedom shall perish in the stroke of a pen. This is not the world I would want to raise my children in, or for them to raise their children is. This is a world I myself would never want to live in! God help those who push this legislation to the victory line, for there is no pity for the wicked!"

MessageThis union would not place any nation under the control of a dictator, it would instead create democracy on a grand scale and cooperation between the nations of the Majatran the likes of which have never before been seen. Fear of this union is not logical, if ratified permanent peace would be achieved for the majatran.

Message"You say fear of this union is not logical. It is not a union I fear, but rather the uniformity that will become of all the nations involved. To say this would bring permanent peace does not alleviate our fears, for peace can be obtained through oppression, without regards to the whims of the common man. It is not our unhinged fears that propel us, but history."

"To put power of one supreme country into the hands of one man is irrational. It is not justifiable to have a Jelbanian man in charge of Deltarian affairs, just like it is not logical to have a Deltarian man in charge of Barmenian affairs. It is with great thought and reason that leads the party to vote against this, not the irrational fear of the blind follower."

"To leave our own fates out of our hands and into the hands of someone who is unfamiliar with us is just absurd. If a watch is broken, do you not take it to a watchmaker? If you are sick, do you not see a doctor? Therefore, if Deltaria is in trouble, do we not refer to Deltarians instead of Jelbanians or the rest?"

"The thought of one union ruling all who inhabit the continent is indeed frightening. But, we should take pause and realize why we are frightened and not run head first into opposition. For if we do not, we will never learn why such a thing is wrong and why where we are right now is a beacon of light and a bastion of hope to all who are oppressed across our fair world!"

MessageIt is clear that the other parties of this nation will not support the current proposed union, would the other parties however accept a military alliance similar to NATO in the Majatran?

MessageWe would accept a military alliance, however that's all it can and should be. The alliance may not hinder the Deltarian way of life, whether it be politics, the economy, or our society.

Random fact: Don't put "the" as the first word in your party name, because when parties are referred to in news reports, their names are preceded with "the", e.g. the [Socialist Party] has lost.
