Hello All, With the rebirth of the Centralist Party, I am proposing several common sense measures, most of which are aiming at placing critical issues back under the control of the national government. I invite debate on these proposals, as if one in particular is particularly objectionable, it can be removed. |

Old value:: Alcoholic beverages are regulated by local governments.
Current: Alcoholic beverages are regulated by local governments.
Proposed: Alcoholic beverages may be purchased and consumed anywhere, but only by adults.

Proposal[?] to change Licensing of food sales.
Old value:: The licensing of food sale is left for local governments to decide.
Current: Food may be sold by licensed vendors only, and shelf lives of foods are enforced.

Old value:: Local governments decide about healthcare policies
Current: Health care is private, but the government subsidises the cost of it for all citizens.
Proposed: There is a free public health care system and a small number of private clinics, which are heavily regulated to ensure they treat their patients well and provide good care.

Proposal[?] to change Health and safety legislation for industry.
Old value:: Health and safety laws are to be determined by local governments.
Current: The government introduces and actively regulates health and safety legislation in all areas of industry.
