Bill: Don't Ask, Don't Tell Act of 2145

Details

Submitted by[?]: Parti Monarchiste Catholique

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2146

Description[?]:

Colleagues,

We believe that it is not wise to allow open homosexuality in the military. For one, the military presents an environment that is generally very hostile to homosexuality. Also, many soldiers may feel uncomfortable if the man or woman they have to rely on in life or death situations is attracted to them. In order to preserve unit cohesion and raise moral, we proposed that the military not ask about sexual orientation, and that homosexuals in the military not openly proclaim their sexual orientation. We believe this would accomplish our goals without completely excluding homosexuals from military service.

Random quote: "The problem is big government. If whoever controls government can impose his way upon you, you have to fight constantly to prevent the control from being harmful. With small, limited government, it doesn't much matter who controls it, because it can't do you much harm." - Harry Browne
