| Submitted by Dr. Christine Cartwright Leader of the Social Liberal Faction From the Liberal Party of Deltaria's Secular Outlook Act: "Firstly, the Liberal Party would like to affirm that we are indeed opposed to religious dominionism, or the imposition of religious laws on members of the Deltarian population. We are inclined to view religion from an entirely secular perspective, and with that reasoning we establish religious organisations in the same way as any other industry, community group or charity in the country. That is true equality. We cannot wage a war based on its falsehoods, and then claim that they are indeed special after all. " As per any non-government organisation or business - it is only fair that religious institutions should be required to participate in Deltarian society and work with the rest of this nation in assuring social equality and sound financial policy. Religion should not be able to cast off its duty and responsibility except in areas where their funds are going to true and respected charitable endeavours. |
