Description[?]:

This bill denationalises the defense industry completely, and removes all government interference. The private industries will receive no subsidation from the government. As this will ensure higher quality products because of the competition, and the absence of "corporate welfare" that bails out poor performing companies.

MessageAs no companies are "bailed out" with "corporate welfare" as those industries would be directly operated by the State we would point out that the above description is incorrect, especially as there is, at no point, anywhere within any laws passed previously that states that any failing defence industries would be, at any point, "bailed out" by the State.

We see no requirement, nor any guaranteed improvement in product, with the complete privatisation of this sector of industry. Actually, the current position would be more likely to guarantee higher production standards as the State would have direct access to information of the cost of production of certain types of equipment and be able to produce them for itself thusly guaranteeing a higher value of product form those bought from private industry in order to compete with the lower cost public owned industries.
