Message | We understand that reforming the structure of the executive is not necessarily the top of the people's priorities but we feel this is an issue that needs addressing. Currently we have an elected Head of State that acts as Head of Government, known as the President. However, due to the current executive structure the largest party proposes the cabinet, which could lead to the bizarre situation that the President may be Head of a Government of which non of the minister's in that government are of his own party. We, the Tea Party, have made this proposal to tackle the problem. The President would be elected by the people, who will then propose a cabinet. This would be more democratic because the President is elected by the people, and he/she would propose a cabinet on their behalf. We sincerely hope the other parties of Parliament consider this argument before voting. It is much more fairer allowing the President to propose a cabinet because he would be elected specifically to do so, rather than the largest party that is elected to represent the people when voting upon legislation. |

Message | All parties should be able to propose a cabinet, this will make no difference. |

Message | The Tea Party see why the smallest party, for example, should have the power to head negotiations to take part in Government. That is not democratic. |
