Message | John Klugg, Force Hutori leader Mr speaker, this bill makes a mockery of our country and will encourage political violence between parties. I propose that in the statute books, our policy on duelling is very clear- it should be banned. I am disappointed that the Socialist party should want to introduce such an archaic form of activity, especially given their hatred of our past history and culture! |
Date | 10:52:25, November 24, 2011 CET | From | Socialist Party | To | Debating the Socialist Dueling Act |
Message | Alfred Scargill, Leader of the Socialist Party Mr Speaker, we disagree vehemently with the suggestion that this will increase political violence in this country. It's true it will increase on a short term basis, but once all the capitalists are dead we will return to a peaceful situation, minus the parasites that make our present society so unpleasant. |

Message | John Klugg, Force Hutori leader Mr Speaker, the Socialist party will have to seriously reconsider it's approach to the capitalists in this country. This alienation of capitalists will not win his party any favours in the election. We need a centrist party that can appeal to people of all political affiliations in this country |

Message | Alfred Scargill, Leader of the Socialist Party Mr Speaker, if you appeal to everyone you appeal to nobody. Our party has a clear and defined platform for the enfranchisement of the working classes. What does Force Hutori have? A set of vague platitudes designed to appeal to anyone and everyone. That has never won an election before and will certainly not win the next election. Socialists want Socialism, Conservatives want Conservatism. |

Message | John Klugg, Force Hutori leader Mr Speaker, we'll soon see if he has to eat his own words come election day. I think the leader of the Socialist party will find that most people identity themselves as moderate, and would ultimately prefer there to be a pragmatic and centrist government in control than one that is divisive and polarising, such as his party would be. I think given the choice, the Tories would agree with me, that we would make a far sensible alternative! |
Date | 13:08:41, November 24, 2011 CET | From | Hutorian Conservative Party | To | Debating the Socialist Dueling Act |
Message | Rt Hon Mark Owens MP, Prime Minister of Hutori, Mr Speaker, this would be primitive and counter-productive. The idea of duelling is barbaric and would lead to political disputes being resolved by what? Members killing each other in this House, rather than forming governments through parliamentary elections....it is ridiculous. The HCP oppose socialism in all forms, wherever it rears its over-idealistic and unachievable head. We agree with the FHP statement. |
Date | 17:12:00, November 24, 2011 CET | From | Social Democratic Party (SDP) | To | Debating the Socialist Dueling Act |
Message | Mr. William Hook, Liberal Leader Mr. Speaker, the Liberal Party believes all forms of non-democratic expression, i.e. dueling, are not only barbaric but unHutorian. We are a civilized people and it would shame our legacy and good-standing in the world to sanction such barbarism. |

Random fact: Parties have the ability to endorse another party's candidate for the Head of State election (if there is one). This adds a strategic element to the elections. |
