MessageNot allowing extradition stands in the way of justice. Location should not factor into weather a criminal, or alleged criminal is punished or atleast tried in a court of law. But as citizens they deserve to have their rights protected, and that is what barring extradition to nations with capitol punishment or cruel and unusual punishment. I urge all parties to support this common sense reform.

MessageThe NNA supports capital punishment and therefore is uncomfortable with the provisions barring extradition to nations that have such a system. However we support the principle argued by the ULC that the current system forbidding extradition at all is, fundamentally unjust. Whilst we cannot actively support this proposal due to the capital punishment provisions, we will not oppose it either. The NNA will therefore abstain.

MessageThe reason the capital punishment restriction was put in place was some nation's justice systems cannot be full trusted. To prevent gross injustices I thought it was reasonable to put that in place.

Random fact: When it comes to creating a Cultural Protocol in a Culturally Open nation, players are not necessarily required to provide a plausible backstory for how the nation's cultural background developed. However, the provision of a plausible backstory may be a factor in whether Moderation approves the Cultural Protocol if players in surrounding nations question its appropriateness for their region of the game map.
