Bill: Mobilization

Details

Submitted by[?]: Party for Individualism and Kitties

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 3219

Description[?]:

"We call for the mobilization of 200'000 men to the armed forces of Cobura. They have to be prepared for fight. However this is nothing, but a defense-order, so we start with a rather "small" number of additional soldiers. No military actions will be taken, the cabinet only believes we have to be ready when things get out of control."

- Lena Wais, Defense-Minister

MessageJust asking, why should we mobilize so many soldiers now? Is there a conflict Labour has failed to see? If there is a threat to Cobura, we agree to this bill, but if it is solely to flex power, we disagree.

Message"1) Yes we voted against national service, as we reject a forced military/national service. Nothing will change in this. This doesn't mean deployment of more troops, it just means making them war-prepared, that they would, in case of an attack, immediately able to defend.

2) To Labour Party: A armed conflict between Jelbania and Deltaria, our allies, seems to become unavoidable. I still hope it won't happen, but i am losing faith. So we have to get prepared"
