Message | Rt Hon Duke Owens MP, Leader of the Opposition, Mr Speaker, is it coincidence that now there is a state owned media, the state now wishes to be able to say what it likes? This is leading to the type of communist propaganda we anticipated. Now the state owned media will be able to run falsehoods as news, falsehoods as election material and falsehoods as "educational material". This is a wrong step for the Hutorian media and people. Mr Speaker, of course people should be able to say what they like, but whenever what people say are proven falsehoods and border on harassment - there should be a law to prevent such a situation. |

Message | Rt Hon Alfred Scargill MP, Prime Minister of Hutori, Mr Speaker, though I do hate it when I agree with the member opposite, on this occasion he has the right policy. These laws are there to protect our people from systematic bullying and harassment. Without them, the right may soon emerge triumphant as it is most willing to stoop to the lowest levels for cheap political gain. |
