Message | Florence Ashwood MP, Internal Affairs spokersperson, I am deeply saddened that the Socialist Party is supporting conservatism in opposing this proposal. We can understand an unwillingness for the state intervening in marital affairs but if the state does not intervene in this matter then it will be religious groups that decide on this matter and they will deny minorities the right to marry. Why, if there are people in Hutori that love each other but currently cannot legally due to the law, deny them this right? May I remind the Socialists that the current law would allow homosexuals and transgenders to go abroad to get married and then return to Hutori. What is the sense in this? |
