Bill: Free Advertising Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Libertäre-Grüne Bewegung
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 3240
Description[?]:
Our free and independent media should not be only a platform for government propaganda. We need a balanced policy on advertising that permits goods and services to be advertised to the population whilst also allowing for government information bulletins. Furthermore, advertising is sometimes necessary as a means to generate funds for our community media given its strict independence from the national government. |

Message | We oppose the current 'community media' policy, because it restricts the diversity of opinions. However, we will vote in favour of this bill, because it rolls back parts of the SED/RKP assault on free speech. - Friedrich Ofner, Parliamentary Group Leader of the LDP |
Date | 11:08:36, January 06, 2012 CET | From | Sozialistische Einheitspartei Dundorfs | To | Debating the Free Advertising Act |
Message | To us the Government represents the interests of the People in a political, economic and social sense, controlled by the Bundestag and press. The Government and its organizations like the DWC's, have the duty to inform the public well. There is no need for totally free advertisement. May we suggest an alternative to the LGB (....and RKP) and others as a compromise: " Only advertising that meets certain set standards is permitted." Maria Weber SED Fraktions Vorsitzenderin |
