Bill: Campbell Address

Details

Submitted by[?]: FSD Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 3242

Description[?]:

Today the people of Lodamun have spoken!

I have been chosen as the leader of our great nation for the next four years, and if they so wish it, for even longer.

The first priority is to create a bi-partisan, coalition government to run, with no small measure of expertise, these United Republics.

Lodamun needs to rebuild and expand our once proud military, I myself have served in the Army Paratroopers and have seen first hand the restriction, both in funding and in manpower, that previous governments have imposed on those few brave men and women who defend us and all we hold dear. Their sacrifice in blood should be repaid, not forgotten, and so, with the power vested in me, I hereby proclaim that the first day of August shall be designated as a day of remembrance for all those who have fallen to protect our precious Republics.

The Federal government needs to invest more resources into the economy as well as essential services [education and health] in order to grow and flourish our already strong economic backbone and raise the standard of living of our most deserving citizens.

These goals will and must be achieved in order for The United Republics of Lodamun to rediscover it's inner grace and strength. So help me God, I will lead this nation, this most serene nation, in the same manner of my Nationalist Party forefathers, Gen. Jack Spears and Jack Williams - in order to rebuild the superpower status that we so richly deserve!

God bless every single one of you and may God bless The United Republics of Lodamun.

Random fact: In order for a Cabinet bill to pass, more than half of the legislature must vote for it and all of the parties included in the proposed Cabinet must support it. If your nation has a Head of State who is also the Head of Government, then the party controlling this character must also vote for the bill, since the Head of Government is also a member of the Cabinet. If any of these requirements are not met, the bill will not pass.

Random quote: “Can anyone imagine a more perverse idea than forcing faithful Hosians like me to give away my money to enable irresponsible teenage girls to kill off their children because they were too drunk to use a damn condom?" - Dr. Francesca dos Santos, former Dranian politician
