Message | We oppose the socialization of our education system. |

Message | The PSD, although accepting the position of the Parti de l'Aristocratie, will not compromise on this set of legislation. The PSD believes that a publicly owned and managed system will provide high standard education and equality in terms of access to and across education. Attendance of a post secondary institution, such as a university for example, should be based on the merit, achievements and eligibility of an individual, not the socio-economic status of the individual. Further, this reformation provides provisions for adequate alternatives (private schools, but especially charter schools with a focus) that will be held to a standard as will the public system, but give room for some innovation. |

Message | As for further information on the PSD's intent on democratic debate and efforts at cooperation, the PSD will work to establish a semi-regular staggering of bill proposals that allow some time for comment and possible ammendments. If the PSD sees negotiation, cooperation and compromise with the opposition fit, we the PSD will persue it. We hope this will mark a period where both parties can come to meet in the SenĂ t on reasonable terms in the name of good governance and democracy. |

Message | Heavy regulation does in fact leave room for some innovation, but not much. Competition for money and tuition is always the best incentive. |
