MessageMr. Speaker,

Trade unions distort the market so heavily that the unemployment rate shoots up. Without unions, people are paid according to what the business can afford.

The retirement age that is currently set is simply the age when people may begin withdrawing on their public pension. Retiring too early means that the government will begin to spend an increasingly disproportionate amount of money on entitlements, which ultimately destroy economies should the spending get to high (OOC: Yes, I need to fix the budget. What is currently in place is to increase the GDP).

I yield.

Random fact: Players have a responsibility to differentiate between OOC (out-of-character) and IC (in-character) behaviour, and to make clear when they are communicating in OOC or IC terms. Since Particracy is a role-playing game, IC excesses are generally fine, but OOC attacks are not. However, players must not presume this convention permits them to harass a player with IC remarks that have a clear OOC context.
