Bill: Retirement Reduction Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Solentian Socialist Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 2148
Description[?]:
This bill would reduce the professional retirement age to 60. We have to recognise that most people, upon turning 65, have been working full-time for over 40 years. That is possibly two-thirds of their entire adult life. The SSP believes we should show some compassion for the ageing members of our society, and reduce the pension age to the more appropriate level of 60 years. |
