Bill: Democratic Consistency Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Benevolent Totalitarian Party - FLF

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2048

Description[?]:

If we are to be a democracy, let us at least be consistent about it. While the BTP would support giving as much power as possible to the Philosopher if we were to move towards a totalitarian society, we do not see the logic behind giving the Philosopher sole authority to propose cabinets in our current democratic society.

MessageGood point, BTP. We should allow all parties the opportunity to propose governments, otherwise we might end up with a Philosopher who isn't able to form a majority cabinet.
