Bill: Democratic Consistency Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Benevolent Totalitarian Party - FLF
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 2048
Description[?]:
If we are to be a democracy, let us at least be consistent about it. While the BTP would support giving as much power as possible to the Philosopher if we were to move towards a totalitarian society, we do not see the logic behind giving the Philosopher sole authority to propose cabinets in our current democratic society. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The constitutional right and responsibility to propose a cabinet to the legislature.
Old value:: Only the Head of State can propose a cabinet coalition.
Current: Each party can propose a cabinet coalition.
Proposed: Each party can propose a cabinet coalition.
