Description[?]:
My former allies, I have tried to restore the Augustanii Empire. I -- we -- have tried to build a better nation, one that is under God and righteous government. I have attempted to restore my family's once-glorious name, but I have come to the realization that the city of Augustus cannot do it alone: we must have a united Republic -- and future Empire -- if we are to build a better world. I have come to the Federal Assembly to call for all parties to set aside the differences we've had, to cast aside the past, and look to the future: a united Cobura, a Godly and free Cobura. If my conditions are met, the Neuva Imperio Augustanii will cease to exist, becoming once again a part of the Republic. Leader of the Church, Defender of the Faith, Holder of the Ancient Glory, His Majesty Adrian Egato Passing this bill by a 2/3 majority would mean that the following conditions are met: 1. Augustus becomes the Autonomous Municipality of Augustus for transitional purposes. The city will cease to become Autonomous in 2 years, rejoining the Republic with the same status that it had before breaking away, though Adrian Egato shall have one term as mayor, again for transitional purposes. 2. While Autonomous, Augustus will keep the government is has currently, and will have control over internal affairs provided standards of civil rights are enforced. The city will have no independent foreign policy and Republican soldiers will be permitted to enter and occupy. 3. The Republic will aid Augustus in rebuilding the city. 4. The Coburan citizenship of all residents of rebel territory, which was nullified by order of His Majesty, will be re-granted. No resident involved in the rebel military, government, or church will be punished in any way. 5. All soldiers involved in the rebellion shall be granted full amnesty. They shall not be recognized as traitors or punished for their actions. 6.All officers and leaders in the rebellion, not including Adrian Egato, will also be granted amnesty, though they will be prohibited (unless they are later allowed) to serve in office or military and may be fined up to 10% of their possessions. This fine, if enforced, will not be recurring and must happen at the point of granting autonomy to Augustus. 7. Adrian Egato shall be granted full amnesty, and after fulfilling the duties listed in point 1 will be prohibited from serving in public office. The rights of the House of Egato to rule Cobura are forfeited, and Adrian Egato will voluntarily give up 50% of his money to the Republic, though no property will be ceded. 8. All weaponry, equipment, funds, and general possessions held by the rebel military and government will be declared the property of the Republic of Cobura. The rebel military will completely and instantly be dissolved upon passage of this bill. |
