Message | Mr Speaker - This will reduce the tax free alloance from 15,000 HLR to 10,000 HLR, affecting the most vulnerable in society. We'll support measures to increase revenue from the rich, but not if it hits the poor. |

Message | Rt Hon Stephen Myerson MP, Chancellor of the Exchequer Mr Speaker, this increases tax for those earning above 10,000 from 15% to 20%, it does not reduce the tax free allowance. Since the rich also pay in this bracket it will affect them far more than the most vulnerable as they will pay 20% from 10,000 to 30,000. Mr Speaker, this taxation will increase revenues to the Hutori exchequer and stop the current punishing system where all income above 40,000 is immediately taxed at 40%. This change stages the increase whilst ensuring the wealthy continue to pay far more of their income in tax. |
