Bill: Reciprocal Tariff Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Country Labor Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 2149

Description[?]:

We are reintroducing the "Industry Protection Act" of the (now inactive) Liberal Conservative party.

We favor free trade among all nations.

We view this proposal neither as economic warfare or as a punitive measure in any way, but rather as a way for Mordusia to encourage all nations to engage in free trade, which benefits everyone.

For what it's worth, we note that Mordusia is one of only 14 nations that use the current standard; 28 nations use the proposed standard.

MessageWe like it. If anything, this will prevent trade wars. Like a finger trap, other nations will have the power to avoid tarriffs automatically.
