Bill: Cabinet Proposal of November 3275
Details
Submitted by[?]: United Liberal Alliance
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 3276
Description[?]:
Mr Speaker, Once again, as is my constitutional obligation, I present my cabinet proposal to this new session of Parliament for its consideration. I have noted Parliament's vote of no confidence in the previous government and I have noted the results of the recent general election. Whilst it would seem at first glance that the extreme right has done well, I note that the anti fascist parties together still have a majority in Parliament. I therefore propose once again a unity government of all these parties to govern Telamon. This will note be easy, I know, but I ask the parties concerned once again to put aside their differences in the national interest - to protect Telamon from the forces of the extreme right. All who serve in this government must put aside any attachment to the use of violence to achieve political ends - violence is never the answer. I have therefore asked the leader of the RPP to be Prime Minister and to lead this new unity government with a mandate to restore order and to crack down on all those who may represent a threat to this great nation. I commend this cabinet proposal to the House John Simon Presiden |

Message | Mr. Speaker, Our leader, the esteemed Tyler Clark, will accept this offer to head the government. However, once our nation has been restored to stability we ask that the Cabinet be reformed to hold another party's leader as the Head of Government, as per our mandate. Until stability is brought back, and every single militant, criminal and rioter who is causing this duress is brought to justice, we will dutifully accept this position. Tyler Clark Leader of the Red Police Party |

Message | Mr. Speaker, I echo the comments made by President John Simon. Telamon needs a stable and constitutional government. All of the parties taking part in this coalition must commit themselves to peaceful and legal means. Leroy Adams (Chairman of the CPU) |

Message | Mr. Speaker, We are disappointed to see that the Democratic Action Party are not joining the coalition, and question whether going over to the House of Stafford et. al. is a particularly Democratic Action to take. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, Not that you have any right to dictate what our principles mean to us, but we see it as far more democratic than continuing to have anything to do with a political party bought and paid for by the security forces. Police and military are supposed to obey the government, not run it. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, We would wish to note on the subtle stabs directed at the Communist Party (in regards to non-violence VS violence). The accusations that we as a party have supported or initiated violence is wrong. Supporters and some members of the party however, have engaged in such acts. We have condemned these types of acts when directed at regular civilians who support the Monarchists. We do not see how we worked outside of the legal framework provided by our democracy. Communists simply defended themselves, and i think we have the right to do so. |

Which was first the Communist Party then the Libertarian Party, then there's a huge hole and i was the communist party of vanuka briefly and finally i'm here. Oh and i was president somewhere in between 2000 and 2010. Random fact: Don't put "the" as the first word in your party name, because when parties are referred to in news reports, their names are preceded with "the", e.g. the [Socialist Party] has lost. |
