Bill: Budget proposal of May 3278

Details

Submitted by[?]: Workers' Popular Alliance

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 3279

Description[?]:

The Liberal Democratic Party propose to adjust the government's spending budget to better address the economic and social situation of the Commonwealth of Hutori.

We propose this spending budget to halt the right-winger's plan of social and economic negligence. We will agree to a proposal in which the rest of the budget surplus is spent on tax cuts. However, we feel that only part of it should be cuts made for the corporate sector and high income earners. To increase spending and by that stimulate economic growth, low- and middle-income earners should also get a piece of the tax-cut cake.

MessageLower the environment\Tourism department please. It helps in most matters, but it doesn't need as big a budget as most things. However, please skyrocket Science and Tec, since this will no doubt help our economy.

MessageMr. Speaker,
May I point out that the more money individual businesses have, the more they can spend on employe paychecks, and the more people they can hire. Lets be blunt here, the best way to solve the problems of starvation and healthcare is to make certain that everyone gets paid enough to afford it in the first place. Funneling money from one place to another is all well and good, but the amount of money lost by corruption is ridiculous.

Besides, We wouldn't even lose much money from the proposed tax cuts. This is silly and childish, and unless you decide to make a more practical budget, I will lose the great amount of respect I hold for you.
