MessageDear colleagues of the Cabinet,
Honorable members of the Diet,

Times are rough, and ever changing. The Bondepartiet urges the government to take drastic steps to lower the government's share of the Kazulian GDP (currently over 60%). I have made following adjestments to keep the budget aligned with our tax proposels:

- Foreign affairs: Given the fact Kazulia has no tradition of providing humanitarian aid, I deem it necessary to cut this department's budget in half.
- Internal affairs: Police, fire brigade and other concerns make it very difficult for this department to make budget costs. However, optimalization of administrative processes should be able to provide a 40% decrease.
- Defence: one of the easiest department to cut the budget on, I deem this cut necessary because of the lack of a standing army and the only need to train our youngsters during their military service and the acquiring of military matériel. Also, the nationalization of the arms industry might make it possible for the army to seek other funds than through direct taxation.
- Justice: As the government has lowered it concerns for illegal aliens, made euthanasia possible without a court order, and has taken various steps to lower the pressure on the justice system, I believe these reforms are realistic.
- Infrastructure: I propose to put a temporary moratorium on large public works and to focus on maintaining and modernizing what we already have.
- Health and Social Services, Education and Culture: because of the large responsibility of the government on these matters, the reforms are not drastic here.
- Science and Technology, Food and Agriculture, Trade and Industry: these tax cuts should be realistic.
- Environment and Tourism: I propose a temporary moratorium on tourist campaigns and infrastructure improvement. Recent measures of the government in the field of environment should make these cuts realistic.

Kind regards,

Natassia MALTHE

Random fact: Parties have the ability to endorse another party's candidate for the Head of State election (if there is one). This adds a strategic element to the elections.
