Bill: Employee Protection Bill
Details
Submitted by[?]: Dorvische Partei
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 3282
Description[?]:
To have no legislation on the regulation of working hours leaves the system open to exploitation. Therefore we propose that Trade Unions and employers negotiate these working hours. This should then ensure that a middle ground is reached, and that the number of working hours reflects the needs of that sector of the economy. |

Message | Can't people and companies decide for themselves how many working hours there need to be? This only causes more trouble and effort in the long run for both the workers and the employers. Finance Speaker of the Dorvische Republikaner Carla Schneider |

Message | Yes, ideally companies and people would decide for themselves, but current legislation doesn't mean that will be the case. At least if we make it between Unions and companies then we have collective bargaining to ensure individuals aren't exploited. This may cause more trouble but it will ensure that individuals do not get ripped off by unscrupulous employers. |
