Debate
These messages have been posted to debate on this bill:
Date | 16:23:56, April 10, 2012 CET | From | Grand National Party | To | Debating the Healthy labour market act |
Message | We do not want the government to interfere with private business. Furthermore, such a policy would make entrepreneurs and workers fully dependant on whichever party is governing. A capitalist government would make totally different decisions than a socialist one (perish the thought that a latter may ever rise to power!). Juan Felipe Castillo (GNP) Minister of Trade and Industry |
Date | 19:37:13, April 10, 2012 CET | From | Unity | To | Debating the Healthy labour market act |
Message | Realigning the labour market to be balanced is necessary, otherwise social and political unrest will be the result as employees are left completely powerless. Current law all but explicitely bans striking regardless of the reason, which goes against civil as well as human rights. |
