MessageWell, we can't have a one horse race, can we?

Considering the current laws in Luthori, I guess my candidate would have to be heterosexual and of the same gender that they were born as. It also seems that my candidate has to be from the species [italics]Homo sapiens[/italics] (known to the layman as human, but translates as "wise man"), although it would be fun if the candidate just had to be from the family Hominidae, so we could have humans running against chimpanzees, bonobos, orangutans, and gorillas. From some of the debates in the Sejm, you'd think they enter politics regularly.

So the candidate being endorsed by the LEC is...
*drumroll*

Lord Havelock Vetinari ( Rzeczpospolita Emperor Havelock I).

MessageWait a sec, everybody. We're having elections soon, and I don't think that the other bill won't pass in time.

If it WERE to be passing, then I nominate Zygmunt IV August, descendant of Sigismund II Augustus, creater of the original Rzeczpospolita.

MessageIf no-one can provide a 2/3 majority, do we do instant run-off voting or the same system as our political elections (have the all parties state their support for one of the two candidates who have the most votes).

MessageMy plan was to eliminate all but one candidate using a first past the post system then put the bill to the vote to see if that Emperor-Elect gets a 2/3 majority.

If anyone has a better idea I'm open to them.

MessageMaybe, but there were time constraints. How shall we settle this: parties, kingdoms (regions) or seats? Whatever happens the bill to crown the winner needs a two thirds super majority.

MessageI suggested it to avoid leaving the SRP and PIP out, but the winner needs a 2/3 vote to become Emperor so if we go by anything but seats we might just find the bill is defeated.

Then again: that could give you your reason for starting a rebellion.

MessageBy the Grace of God, Rzeczpospolita Emperor Richard the Lionheart, Defender of The Faith, announces his withdrawal from the election. Having already served two terms as King and Emperor, and given that he already has the significant advantage of being Emperor if any bill to replace him fails, His Imperial Majesty believes it is time to give someone else a chance.

The traditionalists of the DUP will back the King of Tinako, Zygmunt August, and hope this will strengthen the ties between Utagia, Tinako and the remainder of the Empire.
