MessageWhile I don't usually say much on what a Title to an office is...I rather like the current one that we have. Though that is a personal thought.

MessageI should add some history to this debate:

Since shortly after the founding of the Kundrati Union in the game, we came up with a culture (at least naming convention wise) that was based on Rome (with some Basque influence for extra flavor). It was a culture held dear for it's uniqueness. Many nation's changed cultures regularly, elections were frequent, and there was some pretty bitter RP chaos. We here in the KU felt a sense of pride because that culture we created, even when new parties came and gone, stayed the same. We even had a period where there was no call for early elections or general nation crashing for nearly two actual years. It was kinda cool, and something we got some good recognition for from other players.

So, being a historian kinda by trade, it's something I've sorta held fast on. Political systems come and go, parties come in and change change the whole set of laws around, but we've kept to our culture here, which has been a neat and fun experience. President and Speaker are fine titles in and of themselves, but they're just sort of unoriginal and bland.

Like I've said, I'm open to suggestions. And as always, if there's no consensus, then I can't really do much to change anything and will just have to live with it =)

MessageI like President and Speaker myself but I am not hung up on the title. I think President is definitely better than Consul but I guess due to traditions that the name is acceptable. We would vote in favor if this did come to a vote...

Random fact: RP laws follow the same passing rules as in-game variable laws. Laws that are not of a constitutional nature require a simple majority "Yes" vote from active parties currently holding seats. Laws that are of a constitutional nature require a 2/3 majority "Yes" vote from active parties currently holding seats. RP laws may be abolished a simple majority vote this applies to ANY RP law.
