Bill: Response to Foreign Crisis

Details

Submitted by[?]: Social Republican Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 3291

Description[?]:

Members of the Parliament,

the developing conflict between Dorvik and Gaduridos is demanding a bit of our attention.

We propose that the government take the following measures:

*Temporarily change the threat level from green to yellow.
*Instruct the Rutanian ambassadors in Dorvik and Gaduridos to inquire about the reasons of the conflict and ask both governments if they wish us to mediate.
*Warn Rutanian citizens in Gaduridos about the risks involved if staying.
*Send a fact-finding mission to the theater of conflict to find out what is actually going on.
*Publicly urge both sides to come back to the negotiating table.

BBrinda McGath,
Foreign Minister

MessageI, the Count (monarch) of Beluzia, would be glad to host peace talks in Southern Beluzia.
We are allied with the ATR, and we once had ties with Dorvik.

MessageMr. Speaker,

This bill will put Rutanian lives at risk abroad in Gaduridos. We should be evacuating them, not warning them of a war that has already reached the shores of Gaduridos. Once again, Minister McGath proves how inept she is when it comes to foreign affairs, but seeing as she comes from the SRP, this should be no surprise.

MessageUPR volunteers can go to Gaduridos, themselves.
Concerned about the safety of your citizens? They should have been evacuated when Likatonia bombed the capital city.

MessageMr. Speaker,

The honorable delegates of Casa DeKarav have no right to tell the Rutanian government how to run things. Especially considering that Rutania is vastly superior to Beluzia in every way, shape and form. If anything, you people should be taking pointers on how to run your government.

MessageMr. Speaker, I was specifically addressing the UPR, not the enitre Rutanian government. We don't see why we should take pointers from a party that can't even affect the outcome of a bill unless every other Rutanian party abstains.

The actual government of Rutania seems to be doing well. The Foreign Affairs Minister, here, has proposed a good and timely solution to some minor problems, when all the UPR can do is play a blame game in politics. Don't talk about evacuation when Likatonia already bombed Gaduridos.

MessageMr. Speaker,

The honorable delegates of Casa DeKarav have underestimated the vast amount of influence the UPR has in this country, especially when it comes to foreign affairs. I suggest you consider doing some research on our party before spouting off at the gums again. It really makes you look stupider than you already are.

MessageMr. Speaker, and members of the Rutanian Parliament,

Again, the UPR just interprets what they want. While the UPR may have influence on the other parties, and possibly more direct international links, it is obvious that they are currently the least favoured party, with the least direct effect on bills.

While they can indirectly inluence the outcome, with their influence on other parties, it has nothing to do with our statements, which referred to direct effect on bills, which the other parties have more of.

We see nothing wrong with the SRP's proposal.

If the UPR cared so much about Rutanian citizens, they would have brought them home as soon as Gadur was bombed.
