Bill: Budget Fix - 3292

Details

Submitted by[?]: Beluz Democratic Karavist Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 3292

Description[?]:

Finance Minister, Jerome Renwood, proposes to adjust the government's spending budget to better address the economic and social situation of the Sovereign County of Beluzia.

We have allowed private schools and private transportation industries. We want to leave most of environment and tourism to the private sector. We believe Education & Health are equally important, and combined, we have given them a budget of 50,000,000,000. Education was 30,000,000,000, and Health was 20,000,000,000; we brought both numbers to 25,000,000,000 by cutting Education by 5,000,000,000 and adding that to Health. By increasing our spending in Trade/Industry, Foreign Affairs, Finance, and Technology, we hope to increase our income so we can spend more on Education, Health and Defence.

We are cutting government spending in:
- Internal Affairs (by 25%)
- Infrastructure & Transport (by 37.5%)
- Education & Culture (by 16.7%)
- Environment & Tourism (by 50%)

We are increasing government spending in:
- Foreign Affairs (by 87.5%)
- Finance (by 100%)
- Defence (by 33.3%)
- Justice (by 25%)
- Health & Social Services (by 25%)
- Science & Technology (by 650%)
- Food & Agriculture (by 275%)
- Trade & Industry (by 100%)

MessageRead the bill description; I stated why I cut it. We're allowing private schools alongside public ones.
It's not strictly "Education" that is being cut. We are cutting the republican culture sects. We will increase spending again when we can define a culture for the monarchy.
